All onboard electrical equipment is IP68-rated for water and dust protection. The integrated jet pump has no exposed propeller, and the magnetic safety kill-clip cuts power when disengaged. Always wear a USCG-approved life jacket and follow local boating regulations. LIVVOLT recommends a boating safety course before first ride.
Where can I ride it? +
The LIVVOLT Kart Boat is a personal watercraft. US state PWC regulations vary — some states require registration, a boating license, or restrict where PWC may operate. Backers will receive a state-by-state compliance guide before delivery. Always check your local waterway rules.

We love the outdoors, water sports, go-karts, and machines with real driving feel. The turning point was simple: what if we brought the feeling of a go-kart to the water?
We went from idea → build → test. Early sketches, CAD, assembly, tuning, and on-water trials. This is a working prototype we've driven ourselves — not a rendering.

Is the Kart Boat easy to flip over? +
The hull is designed with stability in mind for recreational riding. Its wide, low-profile body and flotation-focused construction are intended to provide a stable riding platform. As with any small watercraft, aggressive maneuvering, excessive speed in turns, waves, rider behavior, and water conditions can affect stability, so riders should always operate responsibly and wear an appropriate life jacket.
Where can I ride the LIVVOLT Kart Boat? +
LIVVOLT is designed for recreational use on suitable bodies of water such as lakes and other permitted waterways. Local regulations, access rules, and watercraft restrictions vary by state, county, city, marina, and individual waterway, so owners should always check local requirements before riding.
Do I need to register it or have a boating license? +
Registration, operator-age, boating education, and licensing requirements vary by location and by how local authorities classify the watercraft. We recommend checking your state and local boating regulations before operation. Additional U.S. ownership and product documentation details will be published before fulfillment.
How do I transport it? +
The complete Kart Boat weighs approximately 84 kg (185 lb) including the battery. Four integrated carrying handles help with positioning the craft, but due to its size and weight, we recommend using appropriate transport equipment and more than one person when moving or launching it.
How many people can ride? +
LIVVOLT Kart Boat is designed for one rider, with a maximum rated load of 100 kg (220 lb). It is not designed to carry a passenger.
What happens if something gets into the jet pump? +
Like any jet-driven watercraft, debris, weeds, rope, or other objects can affect the jet system. The LIVVOLT jet-pump system is designed with service access in mind for inspection and maintenance. Riders should avoid areas with heavy weeds, floating debris, or shallow obstructions.
What comes with the Kart Boat? +
The current planned standard package includes the Kart Boat, removable battery, compatible battery charger, required tools, standard included accessories, and one LIVVOLT paddle (a $99 value). Each of the 5 Super Early Bird rewards also includes one spare jet-drive tail module (a $400 value) and one sunshade canopy (a $299 value), for $798 in total bonus gear. Each Early Bird reward also includes the sunshade canopy, for $398 in total bonus gear. Final Kickstarter package contents will be confirmed before launch.
Can I extend my time on the water? +
Yes. The removable battery is designed to be swapped, so an optional second battery can help you get back on the water without waiting for the first battery to recharge. The planned Kickstarter Extra Battery price is $2,199, and the planned two-battery Extended Ride Bundle is $8,199. Final pricing and availability will be confirmed on Kickstarter.
When does Kickstarter launch, and when will my order ship? +
Kickstarter launches September 20, 2026. The earliest estimated delivery window for the first batch is October–November 2026, following production, testing and final QA. Delivery timing can vary by destination, production progress and logistics. As with any crowdfunding project, timelines may change, and backers will receive updates if the schedule is adjusted.
